Let’s face it, organic products are on the rise and for good reason. It’s healthier or more environmentally friendly. I live in Iowa, we are meat and potato eaters. I’ve tried unsucessfully to get my husband and son to branch into different cultures of food. Without being able to change what they like, what I can do is offer them healthier choices.

I purchased my first house last year in April. I was 31. I had always thought I would own a house and have tons of kids by that age, but that’s a different post. I’ve heard many horror stories about the hell that people go through when they decide to purchase a house. You have to choose if you want to try and find one on your own or go through a realtor. You have to find a house that you like and that’s within your price range. You have to come up with a down payment or deal with getting a loan. It’s all very hectic and stressful. I recently had a co-worker tell me it took her two months to close on her house. She went through a bank and said she would never recommend it.

When I decided to make a go of it on my own as a photographer I knew I needed to consult a small business manager in order to decide what steps I needed to take. There were all kinds of tax laws, hiring implications, and even a website design… Things I had never thought about before now. My accountant really helped me with the monetary side of the business and my friend Joe volunteered to build my website for me. We did a quick domainnames.com and found that the specific URL I wanted was available and purchased it quickly, wanting to get the site up as soon as possible. It took a few weeks but I finally got the space I had rented to look exactly the way I wanted it to, including curtains, trendy furniture, and even a coy pond in the lobby! I couldn’t wait to present my space to new clients and get to the business of actually being a photographer. I love what I do and coming to work each and every day!

Clipping coupons and using promotion or coupon codes are two easy ways to save yourself money. Most stores will offer these codes, but sometimes it can be a little difficult to locate them.
