Celebrate Your Passions With Sheba

Pate May 2013

Hey, guess what? This is a review. I was sent samples of the products below. I received no monetary compensation. All opinions expressed are solely my own based upon my experience with the product.  I'm passionate about animals. Puppies and kittens especially make me all gooey inside. I currently have three cats Brutus (11), Roman (9), and Little Man (5). I'm also fostering the stray cat that just gave birth to four gorgeous kittens. I tried my best to stay out of their business and just let the Mama cat take care of them, but they kept getting so close to the street and actually crawled inside my neighbor's car tire. I brought them in and once they get big/old enough to be fully weaned, I'll find homes for them. Richard isn't super excited, but he's tolerating it because he knows that's just how I am.    I was recently given the opportunity to treat my crazy cats with Sheba products including premium pate cat food (fancy, right?) and premium cuts cat food. My … [Read more...]

Get Your Clothes Really Clean With Wisk – Review

Hey, guess what? This is a review. I was sent samples of the products below. I received no monetary compensation. All opinions expressed are solely my own based upon my experience with the product.  So...here's a little secret about my husband. He does 95% of all the laundry. No joke! It's one of the things I love about him. He's not afraid to do some housework. I do a load here and there, but the laundry is mostly done by him. I know most people, including myself, dread doing laundry. Actually, I'm ok with the washing and the drying. It's just the folding/hanging/putting away that makes me roll my eyes and sigh. I was recently sent Wisk Deep Clean PowerBlasts to review. These are super easy, no mess, pre-measured packets that you just toss into your washer. Hey, I might as well make the laundry as easy as possible for Richard, right? *insert cute winky face here* I learned some interesting facts that definitely warrant the use of a powerful detergent like Wisk. Such as, did … [Read more...]

Skinny Cow Divine Filled Chocolates – Review

Hey, guess what? This is a review. I was sent samples of the products below. I received no monetary compensation. All opinions expressed are solely my own based upon my experience with the product.  I think I've mentioned a few times that I have quite the sweet tooth. Chocolate happens to be my Kryptonite. Oh if only there were some way I could get my chocolate fix and not feel guilty about it. Enter NEW Skinny Cow Divine Filled Chocolates. I have to admit I felt a little skeptical when I accepted this review. Have you seen the episode of Friends where Monica needs to promote Mocklate? It's a fake chocolate that bubbles and crumbles in her mouth. Needless to say, not great. That's what I imagine when I think of any chocolate that is lower in calories, low fat, fat free, etc. I was so completely wrong about Skinny Cow Divine Filled Chocolates. I went sent both varieties to review. Both are velvety chocolate on the outside, one has caramel and one has peanut butter … [Read more...]

Biore Makes It Easy

I'm sure I've mentioned once or twice that I'm a bit on the lazy side. If I could just jump over this hurdle, I'm positive I'd be so productive it would scare people. A few weeks ago, I turned...*cringe*...34! Honestly, I don't feel any different. It's not that I expected to feel different, but I guess at some point I should feel more like a "grown up". I still don't feel like a "real" adult, but I figure I should make sure I do adult things in preparation for when that day actually comes. One thing most women my age seem to be concerned with is a good facial care routine. Mine has always consisted of washing my face in the shower and that's about it. More and more, I realize I need to put a little more effort into it. Biore products make that easy. I was recently sent a variety of Biore products to review to help me develop an easy routine. Richard and Jake both jumped on the chance to try the Deep Cleansing Pore Strips. They looked so funny with the cleansing strips across … [Read more...]

Crystal Light Liquid Review

Crystal Light March 2013

Growing up, I really don't remember water being the drink of choice. We had milk with dinner, fruit juices, and a lot of Kool-Aid. In high school I drank mostly soda. I've always been a fan of chocolate milk, yum! Richard and I started dating almost eleven years ago and that's all Richard and Jake drank for the most part, water. Then and still today, they both drink a lot of water. And I mean a lot. They constantly have a bottle or glass of water near them. I guess it rubbed off on me. I started drinking water as my go-to liquid. I do still have soda, juice, and chocolate milk, but the majority of what I drink is water. The issue becomes, good water. The water that comes out of my faucet is literally gag-worthy. It's not that I'm some sort of water snob, I used to drink well water and water from the hose. We've tried water filters that attach to the sink and water filter pitchers. Those work nicely, but honestly I like a little flavor to my water. Crystal Light has always been … [Read more...]

Popcorn Indiana Drizzlecorn Review

Movie theater popcorn, drenched in butter. What's better than that? Dumping a box of Reese's pieces in it, that's what. With every reach I get salty and sweet. But...I haven't been to the movies in years. It's just too flippin' expensive. I wish I had a little theater like they do near my Dad's house. The movies are a little behind, but it's only $3 a ticket. So what's a girl dreaming of salty and sweet popcorn to do? Popcorn Indiana Drizzlecorn is the answer. It starts with fresh popped, all natural Kettlecorn. What is Kettlecorn you ask? Or maybe you don't because you've had it and you know it's awesome. Either way, here's the scoop on Kettlecorn: From Popcorn Indiana's website: We combine the finest popping corn, the right amount of salt and pure sugar cane, then we heat it just right, so that the sugar is melting just as the corn starts to pop — leaving every piece with a thin shell of salty sweetness. If that isn't good enough (and trust me, it is) Popcorn … [Read more...]
