Rowell Gaming – Razer BlackWidow Chroma Keyboard Review

Rowell Gaming Reviews the Razer™ BlackWidow Chroma keyboard. Reviewer: Richard. The reviewer received no product or compensation for this post. All opinions expressed are those of the reviewer. After using my Logitech G19 keyboard for the last few years it took a dive on me. As I'm a heavy duty gamer, this was unacceptable. High on my priority list for keyboards are programmable macros, keys that are placed well and easy to reach without constant hunt and pecking, and price. After researching and looking for a while I decided to buy a Razer BlackWidow Chroma. With unboxing the Razer BlackWidow Chroma the heavy duty construction and excellent quality of the build itself are apparent in the weight and feel. This keyboard was specifically designed with durability in mind and features mechanical switches which gives gamers like me a much faster response time. The switches give you speed and responsiveness unlike other keyboards by actuating at an optimal distance. Strict … [Read more...]

My Favorite Games

I'm a gamer by nature. From board to video, paper and pen to computer, I love all kinds. Games bring out my competitive spirit, but they are also closely tied to some of my favorite memories. My siblings and I have played epic Monopoly battles that ended with exhaustion and a few IOUs. Road trips were often accompanied with UNO decks and other card games. As I've gotten older, my love of games is still strong. Richard and Jake shy away from playing word games with me as I've been known to dominate and even do a victory dance now and then. On the flipside, I'm terrible at games that involve a lot of math or counting. Richard recently tried to teach me how to play dominoes and well...let's just say it's good I have my fingers to count on. I thought I'd share some of my favorite games with you. Board Games - I can vaguely recall playing Shutes and Ladders as well as Candyland when I was a little girl, but I'm sure I probably played board games earlier still. I love this style of game … [Read more...]

Shelley Says – Spot It! Fire & Ice

The reviewer has been compensated in the form of a gift card/money/coupon and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free. All opinions expressed are those of the reviewer and honest in nature. Spot it! Fire & Ice is a fast paced game that gets the brain going with cognitive speed and visual perception skills. Joshua wasn't really "into" it (he's 12) but Ashley and Jesse had fun with it. There are three different ways to play. The object is to match any like object. For example; a fire engine on one card turned over and flames on another card turned over. Whomever spots it first hits the timer and calls out what they spotted. There are over fifty images and there is always a match between any two cards! Once there are no more cards left in the game, the person with the most cards wins. Super easy to understand and play, yet they're using tons of important skills. Great for family game night. It can be difficult to find just the right game for all … [Read more...]
