All opinions expressed are those of the reviewer, honest and unbiased due to compensation. My youngest brother and his wife welcomed their daughter into the world in July. I mean, I look over at my son Jake and it still boggles my mind that he's a grown man. But the idea that my baby brother is a father genuinely causes my brain neurons to misfire. There are a bevy of new products and services available to parents these days including the iPhone app BabyTime. BabyTime allows parents to track pretty much everything about their newborn from breastfeeding and nursing to sleep schedule and medications. Anything concerning the daily activity of your baby can be recorded, tracked, and analyzed using BabyTime. That activity is then readily available via a customizable pie chart, interval, or line chart graph. Use the app to alert you when your baby … [Read more...]

All opinions expressed are those of the reviewer and honest in nature. I like apps as much as the next person, but it really has to do something cool to keep my attention. There are several apps to capture pictures like Shminstagram and you can even edit the pictures and caption them. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but I say it's worth even more when you can add audio! Enter SocialCafe an iPhone app that enables you to add up to 5 minutes of audio to your photographs. I'll start by saying the only downfall I found with SocialCafe is that I'm an Android girl and so far it's only available on iOS. I have little experience with iOS, but that being said, this app is extremely easy to use. After the initial install, I was also asked to either create or use a Dropbox account. All opinions expressed are those of the reviewer and honest in nature. If I say Butterball, what do you think of? I think of a big, juicy turkey baking away making my kitchen smell amazing. But there are also products such as turkey bacon, turkey burgers, turkey sausage and much more! I recently fried up some Butterball turkey bacon. Richard and Jake enjoyed it on sandwiches. Jake and I also shared some Butterball Wisconsin Cheddar Sausage. I heated it thoroughly and popped mine in some tortillas, it was quite tasty! Next time, I'll be using the app to find some awesome recipes. The Butterball Cookbook Plus app helps you find creative and delicious ways to use Butterball products. Right now the app is free. I don't know about you, but I'm a big fan of free stuff. The app includes 250 tasty turkey recipes, it's so much more than that. It's … [Read more...]

There's an app for that. A familiar phrase to just about everybody. Whether you need directions, want to read a book, play a game or anything in between you can find an app to suit you. I love playing games myself, especially tower defense varieties. I also use Instagram and Snap Chat occasionally. Jake likes to play games such as Flappy Bird or the jungle runner type games, but mostly he uses the Facebook app on his iPod. While I do think that kids are exposed to more technology than I was growing up or even Jake, there are a lot of great fun and educational apps that are a fantastic experience for kids. Son of the Sun and Wizard Lizard by Kidappers is one of those special apps that I would recommend to adults to share with their … [Read more...]
