30 Days of Truth – Day 3

Day 3 - Something You Need to Forgive Yourself For The very first thing I thought of was all the things that I've missed due to mental illness. Graduations, wedding showers, birthday parties, the list goes on and on. I beat myself up for missing these. It's hard when you can't be there for the people you care about most in the world. People have trouble understanding that it's not a choice and it doesn't come down to willpower. Were it either there would be no question of me being everywhere I want and need to be. I know that they love me, but the hurt never goes away when I'm supposed to be somebody they count on and I constantly let them down. Is there anything you need to forgive yourself for? 30 Days of Truth – Day 2

Day 2 - Something You Love About Yourself It was a toss up on what I love about myself with compassionate being a close second, but I think ultimately it comes down to the same thing. I'm fiercely loyal. My family and my friends (if I had any) know without the smallest hint of hesitation, I'm there for them. I've never had any issues with confrontation, perhaps that's a first born character trait. I'm the first to defend and protect those in my "circle". They know that they can count on me to help them fight their battles big or small, real or imagined. I'm in their corner cheering them on and waiting to tag in when they need me. Nobody messes with them, except of course, for me. Read the rest of the 30 Days of Truth: 30 Days of Truth – Day 1 Something You  Hate About Yourself   … [Read more...]

All opinions expressed are those of the reviewer and honest in nature. All of the Eaglins fell in love with OgoSport toys!   The first one we tried was the OgoDisk RAQ ~ A hand trampoline for balls: throw, catch, bounce. Play alone or with many people. Throw and catch like a flying disk. Adapts to team sports like volleyball, baseball and tennis. Awesome with water balloons. The OgoDisk RAQ also comes with a “flux ball.” A circle shaped ball that comes with holes all over it and three “tails.” It shows how and where to place the tails to make the ball go slow, fast, easy or hard. Finally a toy that not only the kids, but Adam and I had a ton of fun playing with! It’s so hard to find something that Joshua (12), Ashley (9), and Jesse (4) are all interested in playing with. The OgoDisk RAQ did the job! We were outside … [Read more...]

30 Days of Truth – Day 1

Truth. I admit I've lied. I'm sure we all have. These days though I make a very conscious effort to always tell the truth. In fact, I start getting anxious a bit if I don't for whatever reason. That's part of my OCD that isn't so bad. I came across a blog that was participating in a writing prompt called 30 Days of Truth and it caught my eye. It's my goal to follow it exactly, but it's possible I'll miss a few days. I guess we'll see what happens. 30 Days of Truth Questions Day 1 - Something You Hate About Yourself Boy, this is no joke starting off with seriousness. The very first thing I thought of when I read the topic of the day was mental illness. I suffer from OCD with causes anxiety and agoraphobia. It is crippling. It is a constant daily struggle. The more I thought about it though, it's more that I hate the debilitating disorder itself rather than hating myself. I didn't choose to have it and so I can't hate myself for it. The second thing I thought of is … [Read more...]
