CallaK ~ Sumita Beauty Review

Sumita Items

I was sent the Brow Must Have three piece kit by Sumita Beauty. Beautiful packaging, very clear directions. The kit comes with, a purifying detoxifying facial mask, boost targeted treatment elixir for dry skin, brow pencil, and brow set pencil. The detoxifying facial mask is lime-rich purifying clay enhanced with rice bran and milk. The fragrance is deeply lime with a little bit of astringent notes. The facial mask box includes a little tray and a small spatula. You scoop a little bit of the mask, and put a few (up to 8) pumps of the boost targeted treatment elixir, and mix those both together on the included tray. I got the whole family involved the first time I used this because we have three different skin types. I'm almost 40, so I have combination skin with the occasional break out, my husband has heavy oil in the T zone, and my 14yr old has oily skin with acne. The mask feels cool and is easy to apply, not drippy, and the smooth texture helps you to spread it around … [Read more...]

Audiobooks HQ by Inkstone – Review

Audiobooks HQ June 2013

When I was 23, I went to stay with my Aunts Patty and Cindy in Georgia for a few months. The trip by car is pretty long, especially if you drive straight through. Most people don't drive straight through and typically stop somewhere in the southern half of Illinois. Unless you're my cousin and think you need to drive breakneck speeds in efforts to set a record, but that's a different story. Anyway, my Aunt Cindy drove me to Georgia and that was the first time I really listened to an audiobook. She travels a ton for her work and loved audiobooks to relax on her drives, flights, or general time off. She would pick up a book at Cracker Barrel and then return it to a different Cracker Barrel in whatever town she was in. I'm an avid reader, but reading in the car gives me monstrous headaches. I don't know why I hadn't tried audiobooks, but I had a lot of fun listening to a few with my Aunt. Audiobooks definitely help the time go by. I don't recall the exact books that we listened to, … [Read more...]

Natu Haircare – Review

Natu June 2013

Hey, guess what? This is a review. I was sent samples of the products below. I received no monetary compensation. All opinions expressed are solely my own based upon my experience with the product.  I used to put my hair through hell. I colored it, blow dried it, used a flat iron, and a curling iron. Despite the torture, my hair did exactly what I wanted. I'd have a little frizz now and then, but for the most part my hair was cooperative. Starting in my thirties, my hair started a rebellion. It tangles, it frizzes, it generally causes me pain and anguish. I wash it, I brush it, I put it back. Compared to years ago, I'm really nice to it, but it has it out for me. I recently had a chance to try some of  Natu's natural haircare line. Natu's products are meant to eliminate and correct the harsh damages that chemicals have done to your hair. The first thing I noticed about the Liberating Shampoo and Reawakening Conditioner is that they are smaller sized bottles than what I'm … [Read more...]

All Natural Snacking With Solbites – Review

Solbites June 2013

Hey, guess what? This is a review. I was sent samples of the products below. I received no monetary compensation. All opinions expressed are solely my own based upon my experience with the product.  Do I dare admit that I snack time happens all too often in the Rowell house? Well, it does. I can also be honest and say that our shelves aren't stocked with the healthiest of choices. I'm becoming increasingly more aware of what I eat and it isn't pretty. In fact, most of the time, I can't even pronounce some of the things on the label. I'm not a chemistry experiment. I'm a person! I should know exactly what I'm eating and drinking. And be able to pronounce it, right? Enter Solbites. What are Solbites? It's a healthy, all natural snack alternative. It's a handy, portable package of crackers and various spreads. There are three varieties: Almond Butter & Honey, Chocolate Almond Butter & Strawberry, and Peanut Butter & Strawberry. Each package comes with four crackers … [Read more...]
