All opinions expressed are those of the reviewer and honest in nature. Richard and Jake both love blended margaritas - without alcohol of course. Jake's such a fan that we actually put together a margarita gift box last Christmas complete with mixer, salt, and glasses. That's why I was super excited to learn that Old Orchard Brands now has a blend and serve line of frozen mixers with flavors including Margarita, Pina Colada, and Strawberry Daiquiri. I wanted to review them and share my findings, but Richard hasn't been able to find them at the store yet. As soon as he does, I'll be giving them a try with the exception of Pina Colada - because coconut, eww. The new Old Orchard Frozen Mixers are available at Walmart and other fine retailers starting in July. They are all sold in 12-ounce plastic cans for $1.98 each. When we drink Old … [Read more...]

InkJoy by Papermate – The Joy of Writing

I received this product for free from Smiley360 in exchange for my honest review. You can join Smiley360 here. Writing - actual pen to paper writing - used to be something I did on a regular basis. Whether it was for school or hobby, it seemed I was always writing something. That has changed a lot with technology and these days the bulk of what I handwrite are to-do or shopping lists. My hands cramp from carpal tunnel when I write much more than that, plus there's no need. I can send a text or message just as easily. That being said, I do still write those lists and when I do I expect my pens to work. I'm sure you know how frustrating it is when a pen doesn't work - I always give it a few tries, scribbling in a circle trying to get it to work again. Then I hunt for a new pen. I almost always end up empty, pens are never around with you need them! With InkJoy pens by Paper Mate, I don't have to worry about pens giving out or the ink being goopy. I was sent a variety of InkJoy pens … [Read more...]

Billie On – The Bachelor 1/26

I have to be honest, I've never spent much time watching The Bachelor or The Bachelorette. I've seen bits and pieces here and there, but the concept never caught my attention. Usually I like shows that have more drama, especially when it's reality related. I'm talking girls spitting on each other, cat fights, name calling - that's my tv jam. What can I say? My life is boring so tv drama fills a void. Anywho, I have a friend that mentioned she likes The Bachelor and I had heard that this time around it was a guy from Iowa. Since I'm a fellow Iowan, I thought I'd give it a shot. It turns out Chris, this season's bachelor is from Arlington which is actually pretty close to me though I don't think I've ever been there. Some Iowa towns are so small though that you may have driven through them, but never been there. First off let me say I don't like how each episode so far has been a couple hours long. This makes for a long night because I watch these shows late after I hop into bed. Even … [Read more...]

All opinions expressed are those of the reviewer and honest in nature. I was recently given the opportunity to shop through Boxed.com which combines the conveniences of buying in bulk and online shopping.
