I have eight animals including two dogs and six cats. I love to spoil each of them and that includes edible treats. I do have to be honest though my dogs Asia and Harley aren’t exactly picky when it comes to dog treats. They are happy to gobble up pretty  much anything.

The cats on the other hand are well…cats. They are picky and don’t hesitate to turn their noses up at anything they don’t like. They’ve been known to scoff at certain brands of food. They look at me as though I’ve given them garbage or worse dog food. Though Brutus has nibbled on dry dog food a couple times, he’s a weirdo!

I was recently sent some all-natural dog treats from Old Mother Hubbard called Crispy Crunchers and Wellness Petite Entrees for Asia and Harley. I also received Wellness Cat Treats called Kittles for my feline minions. Old Mother Hubbard started in Gloucester, MA over 80 years ago! All varieties are all natural with no artificial preservatives. They are slow baked to preserve those natural flavors. There are crunchy, soft, gourmet, and seasonal treats.

The Crispy Crunchers are P-Nuttier and Halloween themed, shaped in a skeleton bone. They are made out of peanut butter and molasses as well as apples, oats, and carrots. Those are things I can feel good about feeding my dogs! Asia and Harley were perfectly happy to perform some tricks for these treats. And by that I mean they were barely able to sit still while I tossed them each a few. The Wellness Petite Entrees are I’m assuming meant for much smaller dogs, so I mixed the serving into their regular dry food and they snarfed it down. No complaints!

When I opened the Kittles cat treats, Brutus was the first to try them. He kept missing the treat in my hand and biting at my fingers, but he eventually found it and enjoyed it. Mo as expected loved the treats, he’s my scavenger though and any time I walk into the kitchen he lets out a little meow. He wants to make sure I know he’s there and willing to nibble on anything I give him. Po had a few treats, but was more interested in playing. Roman and Little Man were mildly interested, but had a couple. Kai wasn’t too interested in the treats, but that doesn’t surprise me. He only wants what he wants when he wants it. Kittles are made out of wholesome stuff like chicken, cranberries, and tuna. I wanted to get some great photos of them eating the treats, but they didn’t want to sit still. Cats, sheesh!

I feel great when I’m able to treat my fur family with products that are good for them and made with love.

  4. I have a dog who is VERY picky. And weird. He won’t eat the regular food we give to the other dogs who gobble everything up in seconds. He’ll eat cheese, tuna, sausages and ham! Sometimes I think he believes that he’s a human. 🙂

  10. Your fur babies are so cute! I haven’t heard of this brand before but I do like to research and give new ones (to me) a try. I like that they have this Club for pet owners to network and connect.

  11. Cats can be a lot pickier than dogs, for sure. 🙂 Giving the fur babies treats is fun. My husband always takes treats to work to give the dogs on his mail route, and his made some very good ‘doggie friends’ over the years. 😉
