I’ve always wanted to send out Christmas cards. I always thought it was cool to get them in the mail when I was younger. Jake’s almost 18 and we’ve sent out cards a grand total of…zero times! I take most of the blame, I’m lazy and tend to procrastinate and then it’s just too late to even consider sending out cards. To my defense, they used to be a lot harder to make and send out.
The other reason I haven’t is that I’ve always liked the cards that have a family photo on them and both Richard and Jake breathe fire at me when I try to take their pictures. Jake’s perfectly fine with taking a million selfies, but a family photo? Nope, he wants nothing to do with it. Of course, you can do non-photo cards, but I never got around to those either. What can I say? We’re just the opposite of traditional.
