I have a host of vision issues, but none that are correctable by glasses. I recently had the chance to pick a few items from ICU Eyewear and since I don’t need prescription glasses (yet) I chose a few from their women’s sunglasses collection. I chose the bamboo pattern sunglasses in brown, floral lace sunglasses in black, and lace pattern sunglasses in black.

I appreciate that there is a wide variety to choose from in varying shapes and colors. There are metal trims, retro styles, as well as many other options. All styles offer 100% UVB and UVA protection. The sunglasses are extremely affordable, which I appreciate as most people have a tendency to lose or break sunglasses.

I like the fun styles of the sunglasses I chose and brown and black go with anything. I liked all the shapes that I got, but I was told the lace pattern sunglasses shape fit my face the best. All pairs were sturdy, which is better for sunglasses since they tend to get thrown around or worse.

When it comes to sunglasses, I generally forget to wear them. You would think every time I’m outside and squinting because the sun is so bright I would remember them. That’s a main reason I asked my sister to review a pair for me. Dani was all too happy to snag a pair and she chose the floral lace in black. She and her new husband Kurt actually have a sunglass collection. They are entirely more fashionable than me.

Dani came over a few times and was wearing her new pair of sunglasses, looking stylish as usual. Her take on the sunglasses:

I love the way they look on me, pretty design, they offer an adequate amount of protection. Also another thing I really like about these is that they bend outward so they actually fit my head! Since I have a big head and whatnot!

She doesn’t actually have a big head, though we have teased her a little over the years. And by little, I mean maybe a lot. I would recommend ICU Eyewear for affordable, stylish sunglasses. As I mentioned, they can also handle your prescription glasses needs.

Thanks for the great review. I just buy sunglasses because I like the look. Need to be more concerned about the UV protection than the look of the glasses.

I will have to take a look at the eyewear at ICU. I like getting a new pair of glasses or sunglasses that are made well but do not cost a lot of money! This site looks great.
