My husband, son, and I drink a lot of water. I mean, A LOT of water. Richard and Jake drink far more than I do, though. We are constantly with a bottle or glass of water. We were buying cases of bottles each week and it just got to be too much. The cost of these bottles and the fact that they are harmful to our environment is just ridiculous. I bought a sink mounted water filter and started looking for options aside from those plastic pieces of junk.
Cool Gear Inc. offers an environmentally friendly alternatives. They have a variety of products from water bottles (some that even filter the water) to coffee mugs. I was excited to review their Reduce, Reuse, Recycle water bottle. It holds 32 ounces, has a flip top lid with a straw, and an EZ freeze freezer stick. You simply toss the freezer stick in the freezer and when you’re ready to use your water bottle it attaches easily to the lid. The freezer stick helps keep your beverage cold far longer than it would normally be and it does it without watering your drink down like ice. I did forget the straw one day and trying to drink through the top without it was a little messy, but it’s easy enough to take the lid off completely.
I also got to try Cool Gear’s Stayfit Lunch 2 Go kit. I was especially excited about this because I wanted to start bringing my lunch to work with me. The Lunch 2 Go is just the right size to fit in my lunch box. The lid easily flips up to store utensils. I like how there are separate compartments to keep foods separate and help you be mindful of portion control. There is even a built in freezer pack to keep your foods cold.
Both the Reduce, Reuse, Recyle water bottle and Lunch 2 Go are extremely durable, which I like because I have a tendency to drop things. Some things to remember about all Cool Gear products is that they are BPA free, have a patent non-toxic freezer stick, and the Stayfit items promote a healthier eating for an on-the-go lifestyle.
