As I’ve mentioned before, I work at a casino and guess what? It’s dirty. I handle money which is gross and clean ashtrays that are nasty. I pick up people’s used cups and glasses, beer bottles, and pretty much everything you can think of. There are constantly guests that are sneezing, coughing, or blowing their noses.
As much as I’d love to wash my hands every second that I’m there, it’s just impossible. So what do a lot of us that work there do? We use hand sanitizer. The downside to this is that what we are provided with is alcohol based. It smells strong, sometimes burns when you put it on, and it dries out your skin.
The answer? Prefense hand sanitizer. Prefense is a foaming hand sanitizer that is organic and contains no alcohol. Prefense is also silica based so there’s no drying of the skin. When I applied Prefense, the foam slid easily over my hands with no greasy or burning feeling. It rubs in quickly with no lingering alcohol smell. It has a light, clean fragrance that I’ve still been unable to place. While it’s nowhere near a lotion, it does leave your hands feeling a bit moisturized. I like that one application lasts through several handwashings. I shared Prefense with coworkers and found the results favorable. I would recommend this product for parents or anyone concerned with germs or alcohol sanitizers.
